Yvonne Salze Hornfeck, 63, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, passed away on August 29, 2024. She was born on February 15, 1961, to Doris Hall Salze and Charles "Chink" Salze, both of whom preceded her in death.
Yvonne was a light in the lives of everyone who knew her, always quick with an encouraging word and even quicker with her top-tier sarcasm. Her sense of humor was unmatched, and her vibrant personality filled every room she entered. She had a special gift for lifting others up, and her joy and wit will leave an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Sarah Hornfeck (Danny Cuzzort) and Mollie Salze, her adored grandson and best buddy, Camden Cuzzort, and a host of extended family and cherished friends.
A memorial service celebrating Yvonne’s life will be held on Thursday, September 12th, at Patterson Forest Grove Cemetery in Pleasant Grove. Friends and family are invited to gather and pay their respects from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, with the service immediately following.
In true Yvonne fashion, she would not want anyone to come dressed in black or dark colors. Just as her personality was bright and bubbly, she’d want her celebration of life to be the same.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you carry on Yvonne's legacy by offering a kind word or a laugh to someone in need—just as she always did.
