Wynelle Dickerson Scott

Wynelle (Nell) Dickerson Scott, 86, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama passed away on August 6, 2021 surrounded by her loving sons. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Clarence Dickerson, her siblings, Mildred, Doug, Dot, Buddy, Janet, and her husband Burnett Edward “Ed” Scott.
Nell was born April 20, 1935. She was an exceptionally devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage to Ed Scott, and raised their sons. She was a long time member of Wylam Baptist Church, and a current and very active member of First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove where she was involved in many church activities. She loved her church deeply, and always made it a priority in her life.
Anyone who knows Nell, knows she had an amazing talent of crocheting. She could crochet almost anything, but is especially known for her amazing blankets, always willing to share the fruits of her talent with others. She will always be known for her love and compassion for people, and was an absolute joy to be around.
She is survived by her three sons, Ricky Scott, (Janet), Robbie Scott (Robin), and Blane Scott (Angie); six grandchildren Ryan Scott (Melissa), Emily Scott Willcutt (Joe), Ellen Scott Campbell (Jason), Jacob Scott (Kat), Emma, Zachary, and her great-grandchildren Elijah, Ady, Luci Nell, and Lynlee Lovett Scott.
Visitation will be Monday, August 9, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home with service starting at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Pastor Daniel Wilson officiating.
