William "Bill" Bass

William "Bill" Bass, age 69, passed away July 25, 2018. He grew up in Ensley and went to Pittman Junior High and then West End High School. After high school he served in Vietnam. He later started his own Pest Control Company and managed it alone for over 30 years. Bill loved life and put a smile on everyone's face he met. He had a special bond with his niece Shannon Pinto, husband Wesley and child James. He loved Alabama Football, old cars, music and singing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Bass; sisters, Lenora Elliott, Charlotte Parten; grandmother, Edna McDaniel. He is survived by his wife, Donna Bass; sisters, Judy Knox (Tommy), Glenda Edwards (Fred); brother, Richard Bass (Susie); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with the funeral beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bubba Shelton officiating.
