William O. Baker Jr., 85 of Bessemer, Alabama passed away April 17, 2023. William proudly served for many years and retired from the United States Air Force in November, 1977. He went on to work for Tatum Bakers and retired after 15 years. He is preceded in death by his father, William O. Baker Sr.; mother, Emma Baker; sisters, Ann Ware, Faye Duckett; granddaughters, Stephanie Lauren Baker, Lyndsey Lee Baker. He is survived by his wife Betty T. Baker; sons, William Stanley Baker, Leslie Baker(Dorothy); sisters, Helen Payne, Bobby Key, Cathy Owens, Gene Strickland, Diana Baker; brother, Raymond Baker(Janet); granddaughter, Amanda Echols(Jason); great granddaughter, Neela Echols. Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2023, 5:00PM-7:00PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. A short visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 10:30AM-11:00AM with the service beginning at 11:00AM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
