Sylvette R. Smith, of Bessemer, passed away April 29, 2021 at the age of 97. She is preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Millard Clay Smith; daughters, Francoise Marie Smith Wooten and Cathy Annette Smith Burgess; and grandson, Derek Smith. She is survived by her son, Marc Chris Smith; daughter, Gloria Jane Smith Jones; grandchildren, Toby Jarrad Phillips, Joshua Sid Phillips, Juliana Coleman, Jennifer Marie Clements, Jessica Lynn Coleman, Hannah Smith and Maverick Metzler; great grandchildren, Isabella Marie Phillips, Keegan Cole Phillips, Dylan James Coleman, Cheyenne Coleman and Rhiannon Coleman; a very special neighbor and friend, June Carrington; furry friend, Ole Yeller; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, May 3, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 2:00 PM in the adjoining cemetery. Toby Phillips is officiating.
