Sandra Oliver Lee

Sandra Oliver Lee, age 66 of Pleasant Grove, AL went home to be with our Lord on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Sandra grew up in Albertville, AL. She graduated from Albertville High School and then went on to get her BS degree in education from Jacksonville University and a masters in secondary education from the University of Montevallo. She taught English at Hueytown High School for 30 years before retiring and then went on to teach for 5 years at Bessemer Academy. She lived in Pleasant Grove with her husband William "Mike" Lee. She attended First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove. She loved to work outside in her yard, going camping and going to the beach. Her greatest joy in life was her family; her husband of 45 years who was the love of her life, her children and grandchildren who she love and adored to no end. Her family was most important to her and she loved spending precious time with them. Sandra was humble and kind and she never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She was loved by so many and will truly be missed. She was a great teacher, wife and mother.
Sandra is preceded in death by her father George Verlon Oliver. She is survived by her husband, William "Mike" Lee; her children, Leslie (Ky) Gregory, and Terry; her grandchildren, Dalton, Addison and Colton; her mother, Betty Jo Oliver; her brother, Lawayne (Mary) Oliver and her sisters, Barbara (Ronald) Hyde, and Karen (Jim) Oakley. Visitation will be Thursday, April 5th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM with the service to follow at 12:00 P.M. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, burial at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro.
