Rufus Nicholson Long, 83, of Sylvan Springs, AL passed away, May 12, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years Barbara A. Long and brothers, Walter Long and Roy Long. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia "Patti" Gann; sisters, Clarice Butts, Ethel Gibson; brother, Hugh Thomas Long. He loved Dachshunds, but his favorite was Ruby. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church with the funeral beginning at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev. Harold Newberry officiating.
