Roy Eugene Burnett, Sr., of McCalla, passed away on March 12, 2021 at the age of 62. He was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was known for being an avid collector. He is preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Fay Burnett; sisters, Shirley Burnett, Davina Burnett and Lisa Burnett. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Taylor Burnett; son, Roy E. Burnett, Jr.; grandchildren Kyra Martin (Christopher) and Michael Battles; great granddaughter, Rosalie Martin; and many other relatives and friends.
