Ronald Steven Kelley, 71 of Helena, Alabama, died on February 24, 2025. Steve was the son of the late Floyd M. Kelley and Myrtice Kelley. The Memorial Service will be held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home and Crematory in Pleasant Grove, Alabama on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 am and service will start at 11:00 am. The officiant will be Kenny Wright.
Steve was born in Birmingham, AL on September 27,1953. Steve was a graduate of Hueytown High School Class of 1971 and continued his education receiving a bachelor’s degree from the University of Montevallo. Steve worked for Jim Walter Mines for several years. His love for sports led him to teaching and coaching for Jefferson County Schools. Steve coached baseball, football, basketball and health & driver’s ed. He retired from Corner High School in 2012. Steve is survived by his brother, Phil Kelley; sister-in-law, Sue Kelley (late Travis); niece, Genie Parks (Brian); nephew, Robert Kelley (Alex); great nephew, Andrew Parks; and great niece, Kelley Parks. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Myrtice Kelley; brother, Travis Kelley; and niece, Lindsey Kelley.
