Robert Louis Dill Sr.

Robert Louis Dill, Sr. born August 16, 1932, passed peacefully on July 11, 2022, reuniting with his wife of 50 years, Jean Buckley Dill, now rejoicing hand in hand with their Heavenly Father. Also preceded in death by his father Walter Jefferson Dill, his mother Mary Reinette Caillot Dill and siblings Walter J. Dill, Jr. (Alva), Margaret Larimer (George), Jennie Price (James), Louis Sullivan, and John L. Sullivan. Robert was a natural born leader, a memory maker and keeper and the very foundation of the Dill family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom which will carry on through his beloved children Robert L. Dill, Jr. (Kathy), Nancy Rice, David Dill (Darlene), Krissy Davis (Brian), Leslie H. Sirles, Jr. (Shelia), Stephanie Adkins (Roy), Michael Sirles, and Melissa Sanders (Tommy); 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and brother Lawrence E. Sullivan (Fran) along with many other loving family and friends. Robert was an Eagle Scout and graduate of The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa (Delta Chi), an Army Veteran, and a member of Freedom Ministries. Robert was a benevolent and kind man whose servants heart shown brightest as a devoted caregiver for his brother Walter and his wife Jean. Family will receive visitors Thursday, July 14, 2022 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Freedom Ministries (6245 Eastern Valley Road, McCalla 35111). Funeral service will follow visitation with Brother Jeff Crockett officiating
