Richard Lawrence Martin
June 28, 1952 — November 6, 2024
Richard Lawrence Martin, age 72 of Forestdale, passed away November 6, 2024 at Birmingham VA Hospital. Mr. Martin was born June 28, 1952 to the late Judge A. and Vivian Wells Martin. Others preceding him in death are his brother, Ralph Martin and his sister, Phyllis Naugher. Survivors include his beloved wife, Brenda Faye Bolton Martin, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
Richard retired from US Steel after many years and then began working for Auto Zone in Midfield until his recent illness. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force. Those that knew him will surely miss his presence and he will be forever in their thoughts and memories.
The family will receive friends at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2024 beginning at 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will immediately follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
