Phillips Russell Tarver

Phillips Russell Tarver, 81 of Vestavia passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2023. He was born in Americus, Georgia and moved to Birmingham where he graduated from Cumberland School of Law. He worked as an attorney in the Birmingham area for many years and was a member of both the Alabama and Georgia Bar Associations. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Phillips and Vallie Jane Tarver; daughter, Ashley Ann Tarver; and brother, William Sydney Tarver. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Finn Tarver; son, Richard Harrison Tarver; sister, Vallie Jane Drewry; brother-in-law, Arthur Chauncy Drewry; and several nieces and nephews. No services are planned at this time.
