Michael Evans Norris

Michael Evans Norris of Oak Grove, Alabama passed away after a brief illness Friday, December 10, 2021. He was a proud member of the Oak Grove High School marching band and often spoke fondly of his time under the leadership of Mr. Armstrong. He graduated Oak Grove HS in 1985 and then launched a lifetime of love and support for his Tigers. He loved gospel music, racing, Alabama football, and his family. He was a friend to all and will be missed by his community. He is preceded in death by his wife, Tracy; father, Evans Norris; stepfather, Buck Smith, mother, Helen Smith; stepsister, Betty Ensley; step brother-in-law, Ronnie Ensley; step brother-in-law, Mark Janey. He is survived by his brother, J. R. Norris (Kristi); niece, Sophia Norris; nephew, Gunnar Norris; stepmother, Carolyn Norris; stepsister, Deborah Bradshaw (Rickey); stepsister, Dianne Janey; stepsister, Anita Cerce (Cliff); and a host of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove First Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Buddy Poe officiating.
