Michael Ray Jackson

Michael Ray Jackson, 73 of Sylvan Springs, passed away May 22, 2024. He was a member of the VFW-Bessemer, and the Fairfield American Legion Post 37. He was a former choir member with Garywood Assembly and current member of Pleasant Grove Assembly. Michael loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Gladys Jackson; son, Christopher Sean Jackson; sister, Patsy Jackson; and best friend, Pete Vann. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Evelyn Jackson; daughter, Angela G. Sullivan; grandchildren, Jacob Jackson (Paige), Jeremy Jackson (Sailor), Brentley Jackson (Garriyonna), Sarah Jackson, Travis Middleton, Aiden Middleton ; great grandchildren, Malichi, Gabriel and Leslie Jackson; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Robert McKenna and Jimmy Garrison; furry friends, Coco and Bruce; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM in the chapel of Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin promptly at 2:00 PM with burial immediately following in the adjoining cemetery. Pastors John Loper and Ron Green officiating.
