Michael O. Hood, 80 of Bessemer, passed away on October 15, 2024. He worked for Associated Grocers and Bruno's as a Butcher for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tyrus and Joan Hood; his wife of 49 years, Sandra Ray Hood; son, Billy Ray Hood; granddaughter, Mallorie N. Hood; brother, Doc Hood; and sister, Patricia Hood. He is survived by is sons, Michael K. Hood and Clayton M. Hood; daughter, Tina H. Rosetta (Tony); granddaughter, Cynthia Hood; sisters, Kathy Palmer and Cynthia Nelson (David); furry friend, Emmy Lou; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, October 21, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM with funeral services immediately following. Entombment will be in Patterson Forest Grove Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum.
