Mattie Lou Wells

Mrs. Mattie Lou Wells, age 97 of Winston, Georgia formerly of Pleasant Grove passed away at her residence in Georgia. Mrs. Wells was born April 28, 1927 to the late Elbert and Maudie Mae Terry Smith in Perry County, Alabama. She is predeceased by her parents; husband John D. Wells, Jr.; her sons; John Wesley and Donald Glenn Wells; daughter, Marian Wells; sisters, Berda Mae LeCroy and Eveleen May; brothers Elbert, Red, Emmitt, Herbert and Ewin Smith.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Judith Ann Dye, Cindy Burchfield and Karian Wells; grandchildren; Lloyd Dale Dye, Jr., Greg Brassfield (Beth), Austin Barnes (Kristian), and Maddie Burchfield; great grandchildren, Noah Dye, Dustin and Blake Brassfield, Liam, Rayland and Layla Barnes; brother, Etheridge Smith (Ellen) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January, 16, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Al 35127. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro. Etheridge Smith officiating.
