Mary Jo Young-Shipp, 69, of Hueytown, AL, passed away November 5, 2019.
Mary Jo was a sweet, kind, loving person who was always ready to help anyone in need. She was always fun and played with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews and they knew her love well. She was remembered well for her delicious cooking and craftiness which she shared with her family. She was a Christian lady who shared her faith with her family, friends, and anyone she could tell. She loved her family deeply and in turn we love her deeply and are so grateful for her love and guidance. She has fought the fight of this hard life and now she will be at peace with God for all of eternity. She was baptized into Christ and lived a faithful life.
Funeral services will be held at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home on Saturday, November 9. Visitation at 12 noon and funeral at 1 PM with graveside service following. Burial in Patterson-Forest Grove Cemetery. Bro. Logan LeGrande officiating.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Elmer Young, her mother, Mary Beatrice Young, niece, Alisha Floyd. Survivors: sister, Jackie Floyd; daughter, Tara Elaine Casco, grandson, Jacob Casco, granddaughter, McKayla Casco; Nieces, Elizabeth Floyd and son, John-Jayson Floyd, Erica Floyd, Emmalee Reed (Andrew) and daughters, Sophie and Lily. Sister-in-law, Cindy Shipp.
