Mary Louise Stano Thompson (Mudder), of Wylam, passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 82. She was incredibly special to everyone that knew her and was one of the strongest women you would ever meet. Her passions were gardening, cooking, spending time with her kids, her cherished grandkids, and great grandkids. She treasured them all so very much. To know her was to love her, and if you knew her, you were considered family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Billy Thompson; her parents, Stephan A. and Louise Stano; her brother, Stephen A. Stano, Sr.; her grandsons, Jeremy Thompson and Zachary Dixon; and her great grandson, Brantley Howell. She is survived by her sons, Billy Joe Thompson, Bobby Thompson (Rene), Terry Thompson (Kelli); daughters, Brenda Chappell (Donald), Tracy Howell (Rod), Sherry Morrison (Ricky); 15 Special & Cherished Grandchildren, 14 Special & Cherished Great Grandchildren; sister, Betty McGinty; sister-in-law, Rita Stano; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM with funeral service to follow. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Fr. Vernon Huguley officiating.
