Mary Lucille Hosmer

Mary Lucille Hosmer, age 89, of Bessemer passed away at Self Nursing Home on December 30, 2024.
Mrs. Hosmer was born February 19, 1935 to the late Elijah Jackson and Stella Mae Pearson Whitley. Also preceding her in death is her husband of 50 years, William "Bill" Hosmer and her brothers, Jack, Bill, Charles, Robert and JD Whitley.
Mrs. Hosmer leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Connie Benton (Ed Miller); sons, Donny Hosmer (Beth) and Tommy Hosmer (Cindy); sisters, EvaJo Philpot and Helen Gable; grandchildren, Andy (Katie) Hosmer, Jill Self, Michael Nabors (Kristen), Kristen Posey, TJ Benton, Brady Hosmer and Brooks Hosmer, along with 10 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hosmer was a longtime member of Concord Highlands Baptist Church for 58 years where she taught Sunday School and was very active in the WMU. She loved her family and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, Al 35127. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jimmy Bradford officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Hosmer, Michael Nabors, TJ Benton, Brady Hosmer, Brooks Hosmer and Donny Hosmer.
