Mary Alice Boyd, age 84, affectionately known as “Nana”, of Hueytown Alabama, passed away on July 25, 2023. She was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Nana was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Fred (Paw-Paw) Boyd, Jr.; her mother, Mildred Rutland; her father, Clarence Rutland; her brothers, John Rutland and George Rutland. She is survived by her son, Ricky Boyd (Kathy); daughter, Tammy Todd (Byron); grandchildren, Brooke McDaniel (Scott); Katie Boyd (Nick Manning); and Ricky Boyd Jr. (Kayla). She is also survived by her two great-grandsons, Chase and Reid McDaniel, and one on the way, River Mack Boyd, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially her friends at Peachtree Senior Living.
Nana loved her family very much, and her grandchildren and great grandsons were her pride and joy! She also loved to cook and bake and was known by many for her Cream Cheese Pound Cake.
Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Boyd Jr., Scott McDaniel, Nick Manning, and Stephen Clinton. Officiant will be her son, Ricky.
