Marion Carol Whitson
July 3, 1933 — February 28, 2025
Marion Carol Whitson, age 91, of Fultondale, passed away at her home Friday, February 28, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother Amy McPherson, her son James Allen Cash, brothers Jimmy Armstrong, Don Armstrong and sister Shirley Jean Barry. She is survived by her children, John Cash, Debbie Whitmire (Jerry); brother Bobby Armstrong, sister Mary Jo Dunlap; 6 grandchildren,7 great grandchildren and other relatives.
She was kind, loving and her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and watching a good Atlanta Braves game. She always enjoyed gardening, with a passion for flowers.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations UAB St. Vincent's East Cancer Treatment Center with attention to Rhonda Reese Nurse Navigator or St. Jude’s ( www.stjude.org ).
Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM with funeral service to follow. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Jason Dunlap presiding.
