Lloyd Miller, born May 28, 1931, passed away September 7, 2018. He was born and raised in Shelby County. He was an elementary school teacher/principal; pastor of several congregations in the Church of God; an employee of Hanna Steel Corporation; Long Lewis Ford and Wal-Mart.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elbert and Bessie Miller; two siblings and wife, Louise McGee Miller. Leaving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sharon (Fred) Little; granddaughter, Shari (Marty) Godsey and two great granddaughters, Meghan and Natalie Godsey.
Lloyd will be remembered for his love of God and his passion for sharing the Gospel as well as his great love for his family; sense of humor; sharp wit; his generosity of spirit; and his willingness to help others. Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM with the funeral beginning at 12:00 PM at Leeds Worship Center, 7315 Parkway Drive, Leeds, Alabama 35094. The burial will be private. Rev. Rickey Bradford and Rev. Bruce Levan officiating. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Alacare Hospice and The Village at Cook Springs for their compassion and unfailing support.
