Lily Dixie Monk
February 13, 1934 — May 23, 2024
Lily "Dixie" Limbaugh Monk, 90, passed away May 23, 2024. Dixie was a 4'10" dynamo! She loved to laugh and she loved to dance. She spent most of her life in Panama City, FL and retired from Bay Memorial Hospital after 35 years of service there.
After Hurricane Michael destroyed her home she came back to Alabama where spent the last five years courageously fighting cancer.
We will miss our beloved "Dixie".
She is preceded in death by her father, Jim Limbaugh and mother, Mary Limbaugh McGaughy; brothers, James Limbaugh, Samuel Limbaugh and Roger Limbaugh. Dixie is survived by her son, Kenneth Limbaugh; granddaughter, Melissa Limbaugh; grandsons, Jason Limbaugh and Eric Limbaugh; sisters, Chris Knox, Essie McGaughy Cato (Rick) and Sarah McGaughy Seabury; brothers, Gene Limbaugh (Anita), Jerrald Limbaugh and Charles McGaughy (Jan); numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Morris Cemetery (8590 Stouts Rd, Morris, AL 35116). Brother Mark Rouse officiating.
