Karen "Gaga" Rice Sanger

Karen "Gaga" Rice Sanger, 58 of Hueytown, passed away January 26, 2022. She worked at UAB West for 40 years as a PCT. She was a member of Birmingham APA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Watson and Beverly "Boots" Rice and brother, Randall R. Rice. She is survived by her spouse of 6 years, Jerry V. Owens; daughters, Nickie Wathen (David), Ashley Lyon (Jeremy) and Tiffani Owens (Cory); grandchildren, Emily Hyche (Tristan), Connor Wathen, Skyland Bearden, Baylee Lyon, Brooks Wathen and Riley Knight; sister-in-law, Nancy Rice; brother, Greg Rice (Sandy); and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Greg Traweek officiating.
