Joyce Goings Smith

Joyce Goings Smith, 89 of Hueytown, Alabama passed away April 8, 2023. She was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Church of God and a Sunday school teacher in the church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Theo Smith; infant son, Esco, sons, Mike Duncan, Sr, Gary Wayne Duncan, John Edward Duncan; granddaughter, April Harrison; mother, Thelma Greenhill; daughter-in-law, Linda Esco. She is survived by her son, David Esco, Sr. (Paula); daughter, Brenda Harris (Jim); grandchildren, Charlotte Millican (Don), David Esco (Jama), James C. Harris, Josh Duncan, Amy Duncan, Mike Duncan, Jr; great grandchildren, Cora Millican, Rhys Milllican, Aidon Esco, Harper Esco, Shaela Harrison, Brookleigh Duncan, Brayden Moore, Jayden Hair, Kayden Duncan, Payton Russell and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM with the funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Grove Church of God, 125 9th Street, Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Adamsville. Rev. David Esco, Sr, Rev. Nelon Smith and Rev. Ken Andrews officiating.
