Joyce Ann Graham
July 25, 1945 — April 6, 2023
Joyce Ann Smith Graham, age 77 went to be with her Lord on April 6th, 2023. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family with everything she had.
Joyce was born July 25th, 1945, the only child of Leo and Mary Agnes Smith. She married John Graham February 20th, 1970. She, after many years of praying, became a mother to two daughters. Joyce had an amazing talent for music began playing piano at a young age. She was self taught and could play anything she heard by ear. She began playing in church at a young age and played in three different churches over the years. She was an amazing seamstress who created amazing things. Joyce was also know for her amazing cooking and taught her daughters and granddaughter how to cook. As her children grew, Joyce had always had a dream to become a nurse so she went back to school and obtained her nursing degree. She spent her nursing career caring for elderly patients and loving on them the way she never got to do with her own parents and she was the best nurse to her patients. After retirement she enjoyed gardening, traveling, doing home improvement projects, spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, and playing the piano for the choir at Bibb Ville Baptist Church where she was loved by so many. Joyce lived a full life and was a inspiration to her family as well as her friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Agnes Smith. She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, John Graham, two daughters and son-in-laws who loved her with all their hearts, Kelly (David) Johnston and Stacie (Joseph) Muth. She also leaves behind three grandchildren Abigail, Matthew, and Luke who adored their Nini and loved to spend time with her. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 9th from 4pm-6pm at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home, 1498 5th Avenue Pleasant Grove, AL 35127. Funeral service will be Monday, April 10th at 2pm at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with burial following in the adjoining cemetery Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.. Pallbearers will be David Johnston, Joseph Muth, Matthew Johnston, Dale Isbell, Robert Harrell, and Rockie Widner.
