John E. Latham

John E. Latham, 70 of Pleasant Grove, passed away June 6, 2024. He retired after working in the Insurance Industry for many years. He also worked for several years at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center and as a long-time flea market vendor. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret "Wee Wee" Weaver and father, Jack E. Latham, Sr. John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gwen O. Latham; son, John E. Latham, II (Sharon); daughters, Leigh Prestridge (Eric) and Beth Reach (Chase); six grandchildren; one great grandchild; five siblings; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM in the chapel at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Bobby Crawford officiating.
