John Henry Hendrix, 83 of Ragland, Alabama, passed away January 8, 2022. He worked as a plumber for many years. He loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Belton and Mary Hendrix, his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Banks Hendrix; son, Michael Dean Hendrix; and granddaughter, Brandy Michelle Hendrix. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Flurry (Don); sons, Terry Hendrix (Michelle) and John David Hendrix (Donna); grandchildren, Jessica Hendrix Pittman (Jordan), Christy Hendrix Chandler (Zach), Chad Donaldson (Kim); step grandson, JoDon Flurry; great grandchildren, Kylie Donaldson, Jake Donaldson, Allyson Pittman, John Henry Pittman; sister, Pat Williams; niece, Sabrina Barton; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Pastor James E. Parker officiating. The family asks that guests wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
