John David Geter

John Geter peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love and comfort of his devoted wife and children on December 4th, 2024. His passing was gentle, with his family by his side, offering their love during his final moments.
He is survived by his wife, Patty Geter and children: Jackie, Jessica Hamilton (Austin) , Julianna Geter-Ryans (William), and John Jr., along with Grand-baby Oliver Hamilton and bonus daughter Ashley Adams (Brandon). He is also survived by his parents, Thad Geter and Anita Murray, 3 sisters, 4 brothers, and crew of nieces, nephews and their spouses.
John’s celebration of life is on December 9th, 2024 at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home 1498 5th Avenue, Pleasant Grove, AL 35127. Visitation is at 12:00pm with service following at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Bro. Jeff Leatherman and Bro. Kyle Johnson officiating.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. John unconditionally loved his family and friends until his very last breath, and continues to love us until we are reunited again.
