Joel Yates

Joel Yates, of Quinton, Alabama, passed away June 4, 2021 at the age of 68. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles, Jr. and Pauline Yates; brothers, Jimmy Yates and Jerry Yates and sister, Carlene Yates. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Julia Yates, children, Timothy Yates (Tracey), Charles Yates, Joanne Haygood (Richard) and Cara Courtney Guffey; stepchildren, Carey Blow, Jeremiah Blow (Erin), David Gardiner (Sarah), Hailey Yancey (Jason), and Mandre Barquin; grandchildren, Thomas and Tyler Haygood, Audrea Lynn, Kiara and AJ Courtney, Madalynn, Bryant and Braden Gardiner, Kason, Kailey and Fisher Yancey, Hunter and Carter Blow,Tristan Liebert, Taylor Walker; great grandchildren Rashad Lee Howard, Matthew Tolson, Jr; sister, Charlene Yates, brother, Jereal Yates (Brenda); friends, Jimmy Dunn, Georgia and Raymond McQurk; a host of nephews, nieces and friends. A Memorial service will be June 19, 2021 at Dogwood Grove Baptist Church in Adger at 2pm.
