Jody Wade Bumpers

Jody Wade Bumpers, passed away June 8, 2018 at the age of 45 from a heat stroke. Jody was born Sept. 18, 1972 and was a graduate of Hueytown High School. Jody worked at his families battery shop located in Bessemer. Jody has had many struggles in his life with addiction. Jody has just recently spent 16 months at Royal Pines. We are so thankful for the wonderful counselors there that invested into Jody's life, and the friends he made there. Jody will be greatly missed and our hearts are broken. We are thankful Jody is finally at peace and set free from all addictions. Jody is proceeded in death by his father Kenneth Bumpers, his dad, Billy Rhodes, brother, David Dillard; grandparents, Earl and Myrtle Bumpers, Henry and Patsy Brannen. Jody is survived by his mother, Joyce Rhodes who loved Jody unconditionally; sister, April (Buddy) Parker; brother Mike (Jacki) Rhodes; niece, Heather Parker; nephew, Heath Parker, he loved them both. Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 12 2018 at 10:00 AM with burial in Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Rev.
