Jerry Leonard Weston, age 71, of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, passed away on October 29, 2024. A devoted family man and beloved friend to many, Jerry’s life was a testament to kindness, faith, and loyalty. Born on November 27, 1952, Jerry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a commitment to serving others.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Donna Weston; his children, Ashley (Jeff) Covin and Ryan (Channon) Weston; and his cherished grandchildren, Jalen, Elijah, and LB Weston, and Weston, Brooks, and Rylan Covin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachael Weston, whom he carried in his heart every day.
For over 30 years, Jerry worked at Fountain Building Supply and later retired from Buffalo Rock. He also served his community faithfully as a school bus driver for Pleasant Grove, where he made a home and raised his family over the past 40 years.
A dedicated Christian, Jerry was an active member of Pleasant Grove First Assembly of God, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life. Known for his unwavering support and welcoming spirit, he was always the first to greet others with open arms, treating everyone like family. Jerry’s true calling and greatest joy was his family, and he was their steadfast supporter and biggest fan. He leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and an enduring example of what it means to be a servant of God and a loving father, husband, and grandfather.
Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched.
The family will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Assembly on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral service will begin promptly at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
