Jerry Fancher Smith

Jerry Fancher Smith, 90 of Pleasant Grove, AL passed away May 22, 2024. She was a longtime member of Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church. She was member of the Fairfield Elks Lodge. Jerry loved her gardening, loved the beach and her river home. She was adventurous and learned to ride motorcycles at the age of 70. She was loved by all and known as the best "granny" ever by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Walter and Marie Posey Stallings; husbands, Herbert G. Fancher, Edward V. Fancher and Britt L. Smith; sons, Lee Fancher and Jay Fancher; grandson, Matt G. Hydrick; and sister, Patsy Duke; best friend, Linda Ganus.. She is survived by her daughter Linda Sullivan; grandchildren, Michelle Hydrick, Charlie Hydrick (Lindy), Jason Fancher (Shannon), Jeremy Fancher, Briana Brown (Aaron), Matilynn McLaughlin, Chris Smith (Shanna), Brian Smith (April), Britney Mann, Megan Phillips; 14 great grandchildren; step son, Lee Smith; step daughter, Jenny Phillips; nephews, Michael and David Duke. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM with funeral service beginning promptly at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Interment will follow service in Highland Memorial Gardens. Pastor Steve Sherrill officiating.
