Janet Sharon Hopkins

Janet Sharon Hopkins,73 of Hueytown, Alabama passed away October 4, 2023. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 38 years and provided excellent care to her patients and their families. She loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved to sing with her family and loved to play the organ. When it came to her family, she loved them with a fiery and passionate love. She was always the one who came running when one of us became sick or hurt. She is preceded in death by her husband, George David Hopkins; father, William Ganus; mother Florence Ganus. She is survived by her son, David Hopkins(Jeannie); daughter Cassandra Anderson; adopted daughter, Cecelia Bryson; sister, Becky Brown(Jerry); Steve Ganus(Linda); grandchildren, Tyler Anderson(Januari), Cameron Anderson, Jordan Hopkins, Cierra Hopkins, Josie Hopkins, Petra Bernauer; great granddaughter, Florence Rose Anderson; nieces, Jennifer Brown, Heather Watson(Shane); nephews, Scott Ganus, Shane Giglio, Brandon Giglio, Adam Penn (Ashley); great nephews, L.J. and Luke; great niece Laura Kate. Visitation will be Saturday, October 7, 2023, 12:00PM-2:00PM with the funeral service beginning at 2:00PM at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral home. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery Forest Grove Memorial Gardens. Brother Ken Andrews officiating. Heaven is a brighter place today! We all love you Nanny!
