James Michael "Mike" Wheeler

James Michael "Mike" Wheeler, 72 of Hueytown, Alabama passed away December 8, 2023. Mike loved people and never met a stranger. He was a Jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn't do and all he did was done well. Most of all he had a servant's heart and helped so many.
He is predeceased by his parents John Wheeler and Christine Wheeler and two brothers Bobby and Larry.
He is survived by his wife, Joy; his son Michael (Dina); daughter, Dian Cope, and daughter, Elisa Toxey. Also his 5 grandchildren, Logan Wheeler, Collin Wheeler, Jessica Wheeler, Staley Kennedy, and Kimberly Blair. Also his sister's, Ann (Phillip) Lane, Kathy (Jim) Runions, Callie Fancher and Susan (Johnny) Melton, 7 nieces and nephews, and many great nephews and nieces. The newest great nephew James Edward was named after his Uncle Mike which touched his heart and he so enjoyed seeing him.
Visitation will be North Highlands Baptist Church, 4851 15th Street Rd, Hueytown, AL 35023, Thursday, December 14, 2023 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM with the service beginning at 11:30 AM. Burial will be held at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama at 2:00 pm. Bro. Michael Wallace officiating. The family requests no flowers or plants but instead donate to your favorite charity or to the Autoimmune Association.
