James Dalton Taylor, born March 16th, 1940, in Centreville Al, Parents were Clint and Gertrude Taylor. Siblings, Betty Champion (Lloyd), Emily Nichols (Otha), Robert Taylor (Joyce), Judy Lane Taylor, Sally Foster (Carvel), and Debbie Murphy (Frankie).
Married July 17th 1965 to Jacqueline Barnes Taylor. They were married for 52 years.
Father to Kathy Lynn Eddings (Ken) and Kimberly Cayton. Pawpaw to grandchildren Keri Humphries (Matt), Kayla Cayton, Kenny Eddings and Kaylee Cayton, Great grandchild Ethan Humphries.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, wife Jackie, sisters Emily, Debbie and Judy Lane.
Served during the Vietnam war in the US Army 1st Battalion 94th Artillery Unit.
Employed at Buffalo Rock as a sales supervisor, retiring after 37 years of service.
JD was a charter member of Hueytown Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years.
He loved listening to Gospel music and spending time with his family in the mountains and on the beach.
Visitation will be Monday, December 13, 2021 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hueytown Baptist Church, 3000 Dwaine Ave, Hueytown, Alabama. There will be a time of visitation at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 with the funeral service beginning at at 11:00 AM at Hueytown Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Bro. Chris Burns officiating.
