James Monroe Riggins

James Monroe Riggins passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at the age of 71. He is preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Blanche Johnson Riggins and brother, Joseph Carroll Riggins. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years; Carolyn Wilson Riggins. stepson ,Jeffery Eugene Montgolf; daughter, Sandy Latham-Jaradat (Ayman;. sister, Barbara Ann Phillips (Glendle); brothers, Fred Allen Riggins and Richard Warren Riggins (Carolyn). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. James served in the United States Navy for over three years. He was a Christian man who was active in church and loved the Lord. He had a kind spirit and was always willing to help to help others. He was self- employed as a painter for years until he retired. Funeral service will be at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home in Pleasant Grove, AL. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 with the visitation beginning at 11:30 AM and the service at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL. precisely at 2:45 PM with Bro. Dwight DeNegly officiating.
