James Richard "Jr" Davis

James Richard Davis, 84 of Bessemer, Alabama passed away January 28, 2023. Known as JR Davis to so many, he was a wonderful, caring, loving Christian man. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Jefferson Davis and Velma Mae Davis; sister, Joyce Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Sandra Davis; sons, Beau Davis (Janna), Jeff Davis (Jennifer); daughters, Lisa Davis McCullar (Michael), Melanie Davis Aldridge (Michael); sister, Debbie Davis Saxon (Kerry); Grandchildren, Mallory McCullar Williams(Josh), Jacob Michael McCullar (Mercedes), Tamara Laine Aldridge, Brandon Michael Aldridge, Ashley Davis Bryant (Davey), Drew Hurst Davis (Susan), Marisa Elle Davis, Julia Reese Davis, Bryant Davis, Anna Lee Davis; great grandchildren, Cora Touchstone, Hezekiah McCullar, Lailah Aldridge, Mae Bryant, Mary Sanders Bryant, Margeret Bryant, Hudson Davis, Kinsey Davis, Karlee Davis. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 11:00am-12:00pm with funeral service beginning at 12:00pm at Pleasant Grove Assembly. A private burial will be held at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
