Mr. Boone was a graduate of Hueytown High School where he played on the football team. He was an accountant for over forty years and an Alabama football fan for eighty-four years. Besides Alabama football, Mr. Boone loved collecting rocks, eating bar-b-que and spending time in the Great Smoky Mountains. He was always known to pick up a rock or two on his daily walks to add to his collection. He would tell you that Moe’s Original Bar-B-Que was his favorite restaurant. He would also always pick the Mountains to go to for vacation over anywhere else. But Mr. Boone’s two favorite loves were his family and the Lord. He loved his wife, Nancy, for over sixty-two years, his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and anyone who entered his life with a true servant’s heart. He was a charter member of Faith Free Methodist Church in Pleasant Grove where he also served as treasurer, board member and auditor. There is no doubt that when Mr. Boone entered Heaven he heard well done, good and faithful servant.
