Genevieve Ann McDavid, age 86, of Tuscaloosa passed away at Hospice of West Alabama on November 18, 2024. Mrs. McDavid was born February 25, 1938 in Texas to the late Casper Augustus and Judith Margaret Horak Wenzel. Genevieve was a devout Catholic and member of the Galveston-Houston Catholic Diocese. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, gardening and solving her jigsaw puzzles.
Mrs. McDavid is survived by her sons, Berry McDavid, III and Andrew McDavid (Melissa); daughters, Mary McDavid, Anne Bell (Gregg) and Amy Laughbaum (Kevin); sister, Deborah Riha and brothers, George Wenzel and Casper Wenzel. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Berry Lee McDavid, Jr.; daughter, Laurie Kornegay and brother, Donald Wenzel.
Mrs. McDavid has chosen cremation and will be placed with her husband's urn in Texas. There will be no services held at this time.
