Fredrick Yeager, Jr.

Fredrick Yeager, Jr., of Pleasant Grove, passed away June 19, 2021 at the age of 82. He was a longtime member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove. He worked as a manager for several local grocery stores in the Birmingham, Bessemer and Pleasant Grove area. He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Nola Yeager; brother, James Earl Yeager; and sister, Doris Dark. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Martha Smith Yeager; two son, Reggie Yeager (Kelly) and Tim Yeager (Tammy); five grandchildren, Cassie, Candace, Dakota, Shelby and Kathryn; seven great grandchildren, Judah, Parker, Isaiah, Hannah, Sara Beth, Samuel and Norah; sister, Sue Black; and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Cottage Hill Baptist Church (1120 Pleasant Grove Rd, 35127). Bro. Jim Parker and Bro. Jerry Sherrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cottage Hill Baptist Church or any charity of your choice.
