Frances Russel Degroat

Frances Russel Degroat, age, 103 of Wylam, Pleasant Grove and Calera, passed away September 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie McLellan and husbands, Ireland Raymond Beavers, Evan Jefferson and Tom Degroat. She is survived by her son, Ray Wayne Beavers; daughter, Kay Frances Felton; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and fifteen great great grandchildren. She was a member of Wylam Baptist, Pleasant Grove Baptist and Concord Baptist in Calera. She was a follower of Christ and joyful witness to many. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
