Elizabeth "Betty" Boyd Wideman

Elizabeth "Betty" Boyd Wideman was born in Hillsman Hospital to Maggie and Melvin Boyd on September 13, 1943. She lived in Maytown but moved to Bayview at the age of 8. She retired from the Jefferson County School System after working at Mulga Elementary and Minor Community School as a Financial Secretary. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tommy Ray Boyd, Billy Jo Boyd and Melvin Boyd, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Bobby D. Wideman; children, Cindy Simmons Campbell (Bryan), Danny Simmons (Melissa), Devon Wideman, Travis Wideman (Barbara), Anjela Gray (Greg) and Jason Wideman; 8 grandchildren, Taylor Simmons, Tyler Simmons, Carly Simmons, Jake Cleveland, Noah Cleveland, Archie Brown, Michael Brown (Kelly) and Ryan Wideman; 6 great grandchildren, Madison Brown, Christopher Brown, Cara Brown, Rylee Cleveland, Raelyn Cleveland and Brynlee Simmons; numerous other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM. Bro. Charles Click officiating.
