Edna N. Harris
August 30, 1936 — September 12, 2021
Edna “Polly” Harris, Age 85 of Pleasant Grove, Alabama went to meet her Savior on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
She is now having a joyful reunion in Heaven with her mother (Bessie Nimmer), husband (Marion G. Harris), two daughters (Sheron Bradley and Deborah Wells), and other friends and family.
Polly was retired management from AT&T (BellSouth), an active member of First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove, AL her entire life. Polly served weekly in the church kitchen, youth trips & sang in the church choir. Polly was known in church as the “F.R.O.G. Lady” as it was her humble advice to everyone she met—to Fully Rely On God (F.R.O.G.). You’d see Polly wearing frog jewelry, t-shirts—just enough to strike up a conversation so she could spread her love of the Lord to others. Polly enjoyed gardening, ceramics/ crafts, traveling with friends, decorating for every holiday—especially Christmas, but she loved nothing more than visiting & spoiling her grandchildren & great-grandchildren and planning to always have a booked event calendar filled with numerous plans/trips to see family & friends.
She is survived by her brother Charles (Jane) Nimmer, daughters Mickie Harris, Linda (Bill) Selvidge, and son Hank (Liz) Harris, grandchildren - Heidi (Marc) Goff, Rachael (Greg) Brooks, Russell (Carrie) Watkins, Jessica (David) Madden, Melanie (Adam) Martin, Rebekah (Kevin) Lanier, ten great grandchildren, niece- Stephanie Nimmer, nephew- Andrew (Gina) Nimmer and cousin-Meredith (Chris) Carpenter and a number of other valued family and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
