Dorothy S. Vaughn

Dorothy Vaughn, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 82. She loved gardening. Dorothy retired from the medical field after working at Princeton Hospital in various capacities.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Dorothy Sutherland; her husband of 36 years, Charles Vaughn; daughter, Kelly Ann Vaughn; and brother, Skipper Sutherland. She is survived by her son, Charles F. "Chuck" Vaughn (Laurie) and daughter, Marilynn V. Sides (Barry); grandchildren, Dahlia Burnette, Drew Vaughn (Kendee), Ryan Vaughn (Rachael), Caiti Burnette (Shawn), Steven Brooks (Rabeka Tucker) and Savanah Sides; great grandchildren, Jack Vaughn, Charlotte Vaughn, Henry Vaughn, Sophia Tucker and Madison Brooks; brother, Robert Dean Sutherland; one nephew; and furry friend "Anthony" and bearded dragon, Angel; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 19, 2024 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Graveside service will begin at 11:00 AM in the adjacent cemetery, Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.
