Dorothy Goolsby Scott

Dorothy Goolsby Scott, formerly of Pleasant Grove, AL, passed away in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on March 17, 2024, at the age of 88. She retired after 45 years of service as an Administrator for a group of doctors at Palm Beach Pathology in Palm Beach County, FL. After retirement, she discovered a passion for Bocce Ball and Bingo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Laird and Matilda Vaughn Goolsby; all her siblings, Barbara Long, Roberta Kitchens, Margie Maness, Billy Goolsby and Eddie Goolsby. She leaves to cherish her memories four sons, Van Scott (Betty), Robert Scott (Theresa), John Scott (Desiree) and Jeffrey Scott; grandchildren, Andrea Umbrell, Van Scott, Jr., Karla Tedder (Chris), Melissa Cook (Seneca), Garrett Scott, Tyler Scott, Melanie Gustus (Matthew), and Lindsay Scott; great-grandchildren, Beau Umbrell, Kascia Cook, Paul Tedder, Barrett Tedder, Charlotte Gustus and Emmitt Gustus; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends starting at 10AM with the funeral service beginning at 11AM in the chapel of Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Interment will follow the service in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Rev. Larry Turner officiating.
