Chester Eugene Tarwater, Jr.

Chester Eugene Tarwater, Jr., 75 of Helena and formerly of Pleasant Grove, passed away along with his loving daughter, Sharon L. Tarwater, January 19, 2022. He was a Vietnam Veteran with the US Navy and he retired from US Steel after 37 years working as a Motor Transportation Supervisor. Chester is preceded in death by his son, Kary A. Tarwater. He leaves behind his wife, Joy Barker Tarwater; grandchildren, Brandon C. Tarwater, Kathryn E. Whited, Emma L. Whited and Nathan W. Tarwater; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, January 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. He will be interred Monday, January 31, 2022, in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL. Pastors Andy Bunn and Lewis Bunn officiating.
