Charles Edward Kirkpatrick

Charles Edward Kirkpatrick, 79 of Bessemer, passed away December 27, 2021. He was a Mason with first the Brighton Lodge and then the Bessemer Lodge. He was a Zamora Temple Shriner and an Elk with the Bessemer Lodge. He was a proud US Marine where he served eight years as an MP. Charles loved Alabama Football and NASCAR. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rosabell Kirkpatrick; daughter, Kathryn Kirkpatrick; brother, Arthur "Bub" Kirkpatrick; and sister, Linda Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Davidson Kirkpatrick; daughters, Cheryl Freeman (Scott) and Kimberly Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Brandy, Brandon, Scotty, Bo, Joey, Mandy and Amy; great grandchildren, Malachi, Isabell, Ella, Emma, Gracie, Paisley, Gunner, Emma Claire, Zoey and Makenzie; and brother, Scott Kirkpatrick. Memorial service will be Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Patterson Forest Grove Funeral Home.
