Charles R. "Kitty" Farr, Jr.

Charles R. "Kitty" Farr, Jr., of McCalla, passed away September 14, 2021 at the age of 87. He was a member of Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy for 67 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. Farr, Sr. and Ruby Bullock Farr; brothers, Jerry W. Farr and James D. Farr; daughters, Sheryl Dawn Farr and Rebecca Ann Mojica. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Shelba Sloan Farr; grandchildren, Julio Mojica, Angelica Mojica (Chad McMicken), Marissa Ramirez (Eliel) and Meghan Farr; 6 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Mike Mojica; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy (8100 Hopewell Rd, Bessemer 35022). Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Randy Jones and Rev. Joey Mojica officiating.
