Cecil H. Brooks

Cecil H. Brooks, 76 of Vestavia Hills, Alabama passed away December 16, 2023. Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Army for 3 years during the Vietnam War, before going on to work with the United States Postal Service where he retired after 32 years. He was a faithful member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church since 2011. Cecil loved to hunt and fish with his sons and he also loved spending time gardening. He is preceded in death by his father, Hullette Heron Brooks; mother Sarah Brooks; son, Greg Brooks; brother, Sidney (Bubba) Brooks. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 53 amazing years, Donna Sue Brooks; son, Brent Brooks(Cindy); sisters, Patty Davis, Shirley Shannon, Benita Bowen(Mike); grandchildren, Brandon Brooks, Austin Brooks, Briley Brooks, Karma Brooks. Graveside service will be Tuesday, December 26, 2023, 2:00PM at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Alabama.
